A powerful thriller by new novelist: Charliegh "Doc" Smith

A Former US Navy Sailor living in New Orleans tries to avoid the excitement she once yearned for.  After losing her whole family as a child, and raised by her Godfather, she tries to hold on to her new Navy family as it is tragically ripped away in a catastrophic explosion at sea on the USS Crescent City.  Years later while working as a freelance forensic photographer, she stumbles onto a string of murders being worked by a new detective recently transferred from Seattle with each new body resurrecting hauntings from the past.  As the anniversary of the tragedy draws near, new threats flood the city throwing the inhabitants into a lynch mob mentality.  The story climaxes in a tumultuous turn of events that further rocks all the characters to their cores and exposes the intricacies of a master plot in an explosive finale.
